OHRPP IRB IBC submissions involving the administration of recombinant or synthetic nucleic acid molecules or biohazardous materials, agents, or toxins to humans, or involving the collection of tissues or fluids from humans, also requires IRB review and approval prior to initiation of research.
ESCRO IBC submissions involving the use of human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) in research also requires Embryonic Stem Cell Research Oversight (ESCRO) committee review and approval.

WorkSafe Worksafe provides all the training courses for laboratory personnel to ensure they have the required training for the work they will perform.
OHF The UCLA Occupational Health Facility (OHF) will identify any work-related health risks from the proposed employment and provide routine on-employment health surveillance and immunizations required. OHF is also available to provide treatment for an occupational injury or illness.
