The Office of Research Policy & Compliance (RPC) will be closed to external business from December 19, 2022 through January 2, 2023 for the Winter Holidays, reopening on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
While our offices are closed, the Chancellor’s Animal Research Committee (ARC), Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), and Academic Radiation Safety Committee (ARSC) and Medical Radiation Safety Committee (MRSC) / Radioactive Drug Research Committee (RDRC) will not conduct committee business. Specifically, RPC staff will not process ARC, IBC, MRSC/RDRC, or Radiation Use Authorization (RUA) applications for review or approval and will be unavailable via phone and email during this time.
If your protocol approval is due to expire in December or January, and you have not already submitted an application for continuing review, or if you have a critical submission to any of these committees that must be approved prior to the closure, please contact us immediately so we can discuss options. It is critical that you contact the appropriate staff right away, so that all reasonable efforts to obtain approval may be made.
For IBC applications:
For MRSC/RDRC and RUA applications:
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. On behalf of the ARC, IBC, and Radiation Safety Committees support staff, I wish you all a safe and healthy holiday season.
