Within the Research Safety & Animal Welfare Administration (RSAWA), the ARC administrative team provides support to the Chancellor’s Animal Research Committee (ARC) by assisting researchers with:
- animal protocol submission and review, including application pre-review, submission processing, communicating and explaining ARC queries, and issuing approvals;
- required animal user trainings;
- facility inspections;
- interpretation and application of policies and regulations; and
- post-approval compliance checks of research activities.
