The Office of Research Administration (ORA) will observe UCLA’s 2020-21 Winter Holiday Closure. ORA will be closed beginning Saturday, December 19, 2020 and will reopen on Monday, January 4, 2021. Please be advised that the Chancellor’s Animal Research Committee (ARC), Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), and Academic Radiation Safety Committee (ARSC) and Medical Radiation Safety Committee (MRSC) / Radioactive Drug Research Committee (RDRC) will not conduct business during the closure. As such, ORA staff will not process ARC, IBC, MRSC/RDRC, or Radiation Use Authorization (RUA) applications for review or approval and will be unavailable via phone and email during this time.
If your protocol approval is due to expire in December or early January, and you have not already submitted an application for continuing review, or if you have a critical submission to any of these committees that must be approved prior to the closure, please contact us as immediately so we can discuss options. It is critical that you contact the appropriate staff right away, so that all reasonable efforts to obtain approval may be made.
