In November 2021, the ARC retired the Policy, Tissue Sharing Requirements. Investigators who wish to share animal tissues with other researchers are no longer required to file a tissue sharing form with the ARC administrative office.

We have posted new content on the ARC website under the heading What Requires ARC Approval, and What Does Not? and encourage you to review it, as it provides important considerations for sharing of animal tissues. Investigators seeking to obtain tissues from USDA-regulated species should continue to make arrangements through the Campus Veterinarian. Investigators who wish to share animal tissues with individuals outside UCLA may need to file an MTA to memorialize the terms of that transfer; contact UCLAMTA@tdg.ucla.edu for more information.

Please contact the ARC administrative staff at arc@research.ucla.edu if you have any questions.
