The ARC recently made minor updates to the following policies:
- Included additional triggers for reporting to external agencies and criteria for notification to AAALAC International.
2. Use of Pharmaceutical-Grade Compounds
- Clarifies that anesthetics, analgesics, and sedatives used to treat more than momentary or slight pain or distress, and euthanasia agents, are required to be pharmaceutical / veterinary grade unless used as investigational agents or scientific justification is provided and documented in the approved ARC protocol.
