This a reminder that we have scheduled more RATS 2.0 training sessions for the month of September. If you have not already attended, we invite you to register for a basic and/or advanced training session to learn how to use RATS 2.0. Basic training provides an introduction to RATS 2.0, covering navigation and terminology. Advanced training is limited to those who have already attended a basic session; attendees will receive tips for completing their protocol smartform. Please contact RATSHelp@research.ucla.edu to register for an upcoming session:

Date Time
Tuesday, September 15 (basic) 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Friday, September 18 (advanced) 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Monday, September 21 (basic) 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 24 (advanced) 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming training; meanwhile, here’s a QUICK TIP regarding Behavioral Testing Core procedures:

We have added Behavioral Testing Core (BTC) procedures to the Standard Library in RATS 2.0. It is our hope that providing BTC tests as standard procedures will make it easier for those of you who use the BTC to populate your smartform during your first amendment or triennial review (TR) in RATS 2.0.

To find BTC standard procedures, click on IACUC, Standard Library, and under the Procedures tab, you can type “%behavioral testing core” into the search bar. This will give you a list of all of the BTC standard procedures currently available for use (we plan to add more in the near future).

Thanks to our colleagues in the BTC for their partnership in preparing these procedures for use.
