The Office Research Administration (ORA) will observe UCLA’s 2018-19 Winter Holiday Closure. ORA will be closed beginning Saturday, December 22, 2018 and will reopen on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Please be advised that the Chancellor’s Animal Research Committee (ARC), Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), and Medical Radiation Safety Committee (MRSC) / Radioactive Drug Research Committee (RDRC) will not conduct business during the closure. As such, ORA staff will not process ARC, IBC, or MRSC/RDRC applications for review or approval and will be unavailable via phone and email during this time.
If your protocol approval is due to expire in December or early January, and you have not already submitted a continuation or renewal application to the ARC or IBC, or if you have a critical submission to any of these committees that must be approved prior to the closure, please contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss options. It is critical that you contact the appropriate staff right away, so that all reasonable efforts to obtain approval may be made.
